Julian Lewry Music   Farncombe Music Club

@ St. Johnís Church   St. Johnís Street, Farncombe, Godalming, Surrey GU7 3EJ

Hello Hope you are well. Lots of great shows in November including a couple at venues where I am co-promoting for the first time. All the shows are at ST. JOHN'S CHURCH in FARNCOMBE unless specified otherwise:

FRIDAY 2nd NOVEMBER - THE WATCH PERFORM GENESIS' SELLING ENGLAND BY THE POUND @ Aldershot West End Centre - £15all standing

The Watch are an Italian progressive rock band from Milan, led by vocalist and principal songwriter Simone Rossetti. Their music is inspired by classic progressive rock style of the 1970s and in particular by the music of Genesis. Melody and energy are the main aspects of The Watch music and the live dimension is one of the greatest features of the band. They are constantly touring with their own Genesis inspired original music but also performing many of the classics from the early years of Genesis with Peter Gabriel on vocals, this show will include a performance of SELLING ENGLAND BY THE POUND in its entirety!

FRIDAY 9th NOVEMBER - GLENN TILBROOK - SOLO ACOUSTIC SHOW - £20 adv / £24 door LIMITED AVAILABILITY

Glenn Tilbrook's solo tour dates are promoting awareness and donations for The Trussell Trust, the charity that supports a network of foodbanks around the UK. At all venues including Farncombe there will be 'food drop points and collection boxes, and Glenn will also be donating all profits from his merchandise, including an exclusive 4 track EP, to the organisation.
Food donated will be collected and distributed to the nearest Trussell Trust foodbank. Foodbanks provide a minimum of three-daysí nutritionally balanced, non-perishable tinned and dried foods that have been donated by the local community. A list of items in a typical food parcel are: cereal, soup, pasta, rice, tinned tomatoes/pasta sauce, lentils, beans and pulses, tinned meat, tinned vegetables, tea/coffee, tinned fruit, biscuits, UHT milk and fruit juice. So if you are coming along to the show please kindly bring at least one of the above items with you - rest assured it will be much appreciated.

SATURDAY 10th NOVEMBER - DESPERADO (EAGLES TRIBUTE) @ Farnham Maltings - £20 all seated

Desperado are one of the finest Eagles tributes you'll ever witness. The show is 2 hours plus - including ALL the classics, and feature unsurpassable sweet vocal harmonies layered over note perfect guitar breaks, licks, slides, and solos. Furthermore, the boys usually dip into the solo careers of Henley & Walsh, adding beautifully to the total experience. So come and join us for an evening at the Hotel California.....

SATURDAY 17th NOVEMBER - LETZ ZEP (LED ZEPPELIN TRIBUTE) @ Haslemere Hall - £18 seated / £16 standing

Letz Zep are critically acclaimed as the leading tribute to the music of Led Zeppelin. The band have been featured on BBC1, BBC2, ITV1 and reviewed in the Sunday Times by Jeremy Clarkson. Even Robert Plant has seen the band perform, 'I walked in, I saw me' was his comment. Letz Zep received the ultimate accolade recently when they were invited to perform at the official launch party for the Led Zeppelin 'Mothership' CD, in London. A not to be missed show

Hope you are well. Before heading into the upcoming events, just to mention that I have received very positive feedback about the Farncombe Music Club concerts from the most recent meeting of the Farncombe PCC. However there was one request that audience members do not take any food or drinks of any kind into the Church itself during the concerts. This request to include food and other drinks shouldn't inconvenience most of our audience members who either drink alcohol (which isn't allowed to be consumed in the Church in any case) or other drinks or eat food in the Church Room either before the show or during what is a generous 30 minute interval. New notices will be on display at the FMC concerts.
