Julian Lewry Music   Farncombe Music Club

@ St. Johnís Church   St. Johnís Street, Farncombe, Godalming, Surrey GU7 3EJ

With the festival season and the World Cup underway, things are a little quieter with my concert promotions but trust me there is plenty going on behind the scenes to continue putting on some fabulous live music at great venues.
All of the upcoming shows are at ST. JOHN'S CHURCH in FARNCOMBE unless specified otherwise:

FRIDAY 29th JUNE - JO HARMAN (FULL BAND SHOW) - £16 adv / £19 door

Jo Harman's show had to be postponed in March but we have re-scheduled for a World Cup rest day) - existing tickets still remain valid and tickets for the new date are now on sale for those who were unable to make the original date. With Jo's June tour with Lamont Dozier having been cancelled due to Lamont's ill-health this show is now a rare opportunity to see Jo this summer with the added bonus of her performing both full band and intimate duo sets - an evening not to be missed with one of the UK's finest singers.

We are delighted to welcome back singer, songwriter and fiddler Laura Cortese who bridges folk and pop with her three Dance Cards. This is a lovely intimate venue and last year's show there sold out so we strongly suggest you buy tickets in advance and soon - either from Hector's or from me.

If you would like to go on the waiting list for any returns then please e-mail me specifying how many tickets you would like should they become available. A number of other shows at the church have sold out a month or so in advance so here's a heads up about other upcoming shows in Farncombe which could possibly sell out in advance judging by current advance sales and/or the actual ticket sales for the acts previous shows here:

If you are thinking of coming to any of the above shows we strongly suggest you buy soon....other shows may also be added to this list.....

Many of you will know Philippa Reed and Chris Maxfield as they have not only performed a number of times at the church as both headliner and support act but have also helped out on a regular volunteer basis at the concerts over the last few years. This concert is an important evening as it will be helping them raise funds for the recording and release of their 4th album so we are hoping that there will be a large audience as all the profits from the ticket sales after the venue hire, sound costs etc. have been met will be going to Reed Maxfield. This will be the first opportunity to hear all the songs from the album, most of which will be recorded in the church in August.

Apart from the shows already mentioned above there are lots of great shows already on sale including return visits to Farncombe by popular demand of Martin Simpson, The Sounds of Simon, Ian McNabb (solo show without The Icicle Works this time round) as well as first time shows by Dave Nachmanoff (Al Stewart's guitarist), The Runaways (Shadows tribute), Genesis Legacy and Fleetwood Bac.

In addition I am co-promoting a number of shows elsewhere which are all on sale now:

Look forward to seeing you again soon - please continue to support live music.
All the best

Hope you are well. Before heading into the upcoming events, just to mention that I have received very positive feedback about the Farncombe Music Club concerts from the most recent meeting of the Farncombe PCC. However there was one request that audience members do not take any food or drinks of any kind into the Church itself during the concerts. This request to include food and other drinks shouldn't inconvenience most of our audience members who either drink alcohol (which isn't allowed to be consumed in the Church in any case) or other drinks or eat food in the Church Room either before the show or during what is a generous 30 minute interval. New notices will be on display at the FMC concerts.
