Plans are well under way for the 15th VIVARTIS AUTUMN ART EXHIBITION which will take place FROM 25th SEPTEMBER TO 16th OCTOBER and held at King Edward’s School Witley.
Surrey Sculpture Society will again mastermind their 13th SCULPTURE TRAIL in our grounds.
This year we are thrilled that all the celebrity artists and sculptors who have been at the centre of our previous fifteen exhibitions have agreed to participate, which will make this an extra special year.
Included will be the work of the famous sculptor, Philip Jackson, (whose sculpture of the Queen Mother stands near Buckingham Palace), wildlife artist David Shepherd, impressionist painter Ken Paine and war artist and portraitist Nick Bashall. Also exhibiting will be Roger Dellar, Nic Fiddian Green, Victor Ambrus, David Farrer, Andrew Sinclair and Faith Winter.
This year we are delighted to introduce the work of John Wright, international photographer, writer and artist, whose paintings reflect the colourful life he has lead in the Americas. At one time he lived with an Ecuadorian tribe and his art includes richly decorated abstracts, imaginary, fantastical flowers and flamboyant characters that will enchant. Everyone is in for a real treat, whatever their tastes.
We will show over 600 works of art in the Exhibition Hall, by a host of amateur and professional artists and sculptors from all over the UK, as well as displaying artwork by King Edward’s own talented pupils.
Each year the number of schools and adult groups that visit the Exhibition grows larger. There is no charge for admission and we are always overwhelmed by the enthusiasm of those groups that visit us to explore the new exhibits. Artists and sculptors are on hand to talk to visitors and point out many of the subtle nuances of the works on display.
VivArtis Exhibition runs from Sunday 25th September to Sunday 16th October, 10 am to 5 pm (25th September from 2 – 5 pm)
