Litter Blitz
Saturday 29 March 10-12pm

This event, which did not take place last year but had previously been held annually since 1998. There has been a notable increase in roadside litter so it is needed more than ever. The event is run in partnership with ChiddGreen and is supported by Waverley Borough Council through their contractors, Veolia. Volunteers gather outside the Forge at 10am and we provide refreshments and equipment which includes litter pickers, black bin bags (provided free by Veolia) and VisiVests. As we have missed a year and the village really needs a good purge, I am hoping for a particularly good turnout and will be writing to appropriate groups for their support. Normally around 30 volunteers turn out, it would be nice if we had 50 this year. Can you let me know on Thursday if you can support in any of the following ways:
