Business space at Dunsfold Park set to expand Dunsfold Park was delighted to receive planning consent for 9,966 sq. m. of new industrial buildings on Wednesday 4th November. Waverley Borough Council approved plans at the Eastern Area Planning Committee to expand the business park, subject to agreeing section 106 terms. The development on the northern part of the site will be made up of six new buildings with units of varying sizes for companies involved in research and development, and general light industrial uses. These new buildings will provide both expansion space for existing tenants, and space for new businesses wanting to re-locate to the aerodrome. The planning consent enables Dunsfold Park to help create up to 200 new jobs and to further increase the site’s contribution to the local economy. Jim McAllister, Chief Executive, comments: “Our ambition to expand the business park is starting to take shape. Since 2002 we have brought over 500,000 sq. ft. of redundant buildings back into use to create a thriving business park with over 100 businesses, employing more than 700 people. We are looking forward continuing this success and further enhancing the site’s status as Waverley’s largest employment site.
