RUNNING FOR CHARITY - REINDEER, ELVES AND 400 SANTAS!
Father Christmas’ faithful reindeer and their elf handlers took a break from flying across the sky on Wednesday 16th December, to give a rousing send off to the hundreds of Santa’s taking part in this year’s infamous Santa Run at King Edward’s Witley.
There was less ho ho ho and more run run run when staff – including Headmaster John Attwater – and pupils from King Edward’s Witley donned their Santa outfits to take part in the 2km festive jog in aid of charity. Joined this year by a younger contingent of Santa’s from Barrow Hills School, the runners were cheered on by supporters and friends as they raced for local charity Surrey Young Carers and the charity, Ri Diamo.

There will be less ‘ho ho ho’ on Wednesday 16th December, and more ‘go go go’ – when up to 400 Santa’s take part in the annual King Edward’s Witley 2k Santa Run, in aid of charity.
Rather than relying on Rudolph and co, the Santa’s will be travelling on foot, although it is rumoured that there will be some real reindeer arriving at King Edward’s to lend a special blend of festive support!
This year, staff and pupils from King Edward’s will be joined by some junior Santa’s from Barrow Hills and the picture shows five of the Santa’s limbering up as part of their training for the big event.
