71 bus diverted From Guildford to Chiddingfold then turn back to THe Star Witley
then follow 70 route to Haslemere via Brook & Grayswood

From Monday next week (29^th) the Stagecoach 71 service will begin operating on a temporary timetable for the duration of these works, still serving as far as Chiddingfold Green as it has been this week. However, due to the pressures this diversion has put on the rest of the service (and the knock-on effects on other services) it will now be terminating at Haslemere town centre, and be unable to serve the railway station, Shottermill and Woolmer Hill, until the road can be re-opened.
As a result there will be a free shuttle bus service, operated by Stagecoach, that will link Woolmer Hill Estate to Shottermill, Halsemere Railway Station and Haslemere town centre (and back again). You can find the details of this free shuttle bus, and the temporary timetable that will be posted at bus stops on the 71 route, attached to my email. This has been kindly produced for us to post by Stagecoach, with our local officers starting the process of updating the approximately 100 bus stops affected this afternoon. Stagecoach and Surrey will also be updating our websites to reflect this change, and I will be liaising with our colleagues who control the Real Time Passenger Information (RTPI) displays at our bus stops to have a scrolling notice added to forewarn passengers. Also just to say that, should the works finish earlier than anticipated, the team involved are well-aware that they should let us know (ideally with plenty of notice) so that these temporary measures can be undone and services resume normal operation as soon as possible.
